General Note: The Dreaded SynthEdit Multi-Core CPU Bug
There is a general problem with many plug-ins developed in SynthEdit 1.0x: Many multi-core systems will become
glitchy, unstable, or even crash if more than one instance of the same SynthEdit plug-in is used in a project.
At least in Tracktion 3, there is a simple work-around for this problem: Simply make copies of the VST and rename
them, so you end up with, for example,
HahahaCS01-01.dll
HahahaCS01-02.dll
and so on. Then use only one of each.
This may or may not work in your host sequencer, depending on whether it allows for multiple plug-in DLLs
sharing the same VST ID.

This is a very "retro" drum synthesizer with lots of character and opportunities for tweaking.
If it had ever existed in reality, it would have been released in 1983. ;)

My first - and probably only - attempt at a hardware synth emulation!
The reasons for this one is purely nostalgic - I used to own one of these back in the 80's. The
hardware version was manufactured by a Big Japanese Company, and it was quite popular as an entry-level,
ultra-portable and above all cheap synthesizer. If there is one piece of old gear I truly miss now and then,
this is it. Not for its sound, but just because it was so darn cute! Well, here it is again - in VSTi format.
Hardware synth buffs and those who were there at the time, enjoy!

The "son of Hahaha CS01"
Whereas the CS01 is barely more than a synth-historical artefact, the CS33 builds on the concept and is
quite a capable little synth even by today's standard. While it can do all sorts of "bread and butter" sounds,
its signature sounds come from the PWM oscillator waveforms, twin linked filter modes and the built-in distortion effects.

Hahaha CS33 Evolution Edition

This is a special version of the CS33, skinned for use with the UC33 hardware controller. A matching template for use
with the UC33 is included in the packlage.
One of the aims with the CS33 design was to provide a maximum "Synth-in-a-box" feel when used with the UC33. You can program
patches from scratch never looking at the screen until it's time to apply the final touches - expression controller tweaks,
FX settings etc. The identical look of template and GUI also means you don't have to do a "mental re-map" every time
you switch from looking at the screen to looking at the controller.
Apart from the GUI and layout, the Evolution Edition is identical and patch-compatible to the Standard Edition. Since they share
the same VSTi ID, many VSTi hosts will only allow one of the plug-ins to be present in its plug-in folder(s).

Cairn Zodiac-6

My first attempt at making a synth of my own. The basic principle behind this one: Lots of
modulation options available through "mini-mixers" right next to each affected part of the synth,
doing away with all hard-to-read mod matrices, and letting you see at a glance just what is affecting
the sound at each stage. In practice, it turned out so-so - some nice useful presets in here, I think.
Caveat: For some (unknown) reason, the Zodiac-6 is a bit heavy on the latency, requiring more than most synths...
