Everything you need to know about Jane, and a bit more...
- Jane lives in Karlstad, Sweden, where (contrary to popular belief) there are absolutely no polar bears roaming the streets.
- Jane was born in April 2001, which makes her about 34 years old MSHT at the time of writing.
- Note to self: Weigh empty exercise ball... Put Jane in ball... Weigh ball again... Put result here...
- Jane is a Syrian hamster. She is shorthaired, and her color scheme is called "Black Dominant Spot", which means she is black with a white belly and an assortment of white spots on the back. The white spot on her forehead is also characteristic for Dominant Spots.
- Amusing bit of trivia: In Sweden, all Syrian hamsters are called "golden hamsters", even those who are of another colour. (In the English-speaking world, only the gold-coloured Syrian hamsters are called "golden".) So, by Swedish standards, Jane is a black and white golden hamster! Go figure.
